In all, $32.9 million was given out to 57 projects in eight states during the second round of funding in the 2011 year of the Affordable Housing Program put on by the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco.

The program has been running since 1990, funded when the bank sets aside 10 percent of its net income each year to help jumpstart affordable housing projects.
